Mixed Gas Diving

In the summer of 2017, Semper became the first commercial dive company located in the Boston area to support a mixed gas dive for commercial dive operations. Diving a mix of oxygen and helium, our divers were able to position and detach an articulated concrete mat over an exposed portion of LNG pipeline in Massachusetts Bay.

Mixed gasses used for diving usually come in mixtures composed of oxygen, nitrogen, or helium allowing the divers to dive to deeper depths safely, or stay below the surface longer. Within our staff, Semper has an ADC Mixed Gas certified dive foreman and a staff of divers with extensive mixed gas experience. Having mixed gas capabilities; Semper is capable of performing long duration or deeper dives than a diver on compressed air.
