Semper Diving and Marine is a local company established in 2005, providing
a range of construction and inspection services for marine and heavy civil contractors and facility owners. Capabilities
of the company include full service commercial diving for all types of conditions, depths and durations including
confined spaces and hazardous materials for construction, environmental, survey and inspection work. Semper’s staff
includes veteran divers, marine construction personnel and construction management personnel with indepth knowledge of all forms of
diving, marine construction, and restoration & engineering backgrounds. Semper’s owner and president, Peter Merullo, brings over 25 years of
marine construction and diving expertise to his venture. His experience includes many years of diving work and management
on portions of Boston’s Big Dig tunnels, outfall tunnels, diffusers and headworks for the Boston Harbor cleanup
project, local transportations tunnels, as well a marine facility restoration. Key members of the staff have worked
together for many years on various diving and construction projects in and around New England, and have been brought
together to form the nucleus of the company’s workforce.
We are presently under contract on an as need basis for diving related maintenance and emergency response to the Massachusetts
Port Authority. We have performed repairs and consulting engineering for several cities and towns within
the Commonwealth including the MWRA tank and conduit inspections, valve replacement, Department of Transportation Emergency
bridge repairs, subsea surveys and marine facility repair. Clients have included Kokosing Construction d/b/a Durocher Marine, Barletta Construction,
American Bridge, Aetna Bridge, GDF Suez, SPS New England, Cashman Construction, Dept. of Navy, DGI Menard and Methuen Construction.
